Following surgery, you may need to wear a support garment to maintain your new chest contour as it heals – usually between 4 to 6 weeks. Stitches are removed within 7 to 10 days, which is when you may return to work and normal activities. You should feel the results of your new chest immediately, with final results visible after several months when swelling has subsided.
