The Eden Institute of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery team are able to administer a number of procedures under local anaesthetic at the Baulkam Hills premises. Sedation puts patients into a twilight state with the aid of a specialist anaesthetist on site. This involves the injection of an anaesthetic directly into the area where the surgery is to take place.
The effect of this local anaesthetic will last 1-2 hours unless a longer acting local anaesthetic is used.
Dr Edinburg will use either internal or external sutures, determinant on a case by case basis. In our ongoing commitment to educating our patients, an information sheet will be given to you after your procedure explaining to you how to look after the area that has been operated on and what you can or cannot do immediately following this.
