Procedure Specific Questions:

Will it be obvious to people that I have had a facelift?

An Eden Institute facelift aims to give you that ‘just returned from holidays’ look, so instead of realising you have had a facelift, people may instead notice how refreshed and well you look.

Your surgery will be personalised by Dr Edinburg, so that you have only the best enhancement procedure for your needs. For example, some people require an eyelid lift as part of their facelift, while others need a brow lift.

Dr Edinburg will work with you to tailor your facelift to meet your individual needs.

What is the recovery time for a nose job?

Most people recover from a nose job in around 2 weeks, and can resume sport in 4 weeks and contact sport in 8 weeks.

Do I have to go to hospital for an eye lift?

This will vary according to individual patient’s requirements. Your eyelid lift can often be done at the Eden Institute, unless you require a more complicated procedure which would require hospital day surgery.

Some lower eyelid procedures may involve laser treatment only, with no surgery. This can be done at the Eden Institute, either under local anaesthetic or with sedation. Dr Edinburg will help you determine which option is best for your eyes.

Who can benefit from a tummy tuck?

A tummy tuck is most effective if you are close to your ideal weight but have loose abdominal skin and weakened muscles from pregnancy or weight loss or the effects of ageing.

Who is liposuction best for?

Liposuction is best for those patients who are in good health and not obese but have localised areas of accumulated fat. It is also important that you have realistic expectations of what liposuction can and can’t achieve.

How long is the recovery time for a breast augmentation?

You can get back to your normal activities within 1 to 2 weeks, with full recovery, including all healing, normally taking around another 2 weeks.

My breasts are droopy and empty after breastfeeding; do I need a lift or an enlargement?

Depending on the size of your breasts and the level of droopiness, Dr Edinburg will assess your shape and needs with you to determine the best solution.

How long does a lip enhancement last?

Results vary depending on the type of treatment, the area being treated, and the condition of your skin. Our clients generally notice improved results for up to 6-12 months.

How often should I have my skin checked for skin cancer?

Most people should have a skin check annually, but depending on your skin type, you may require checking more often. Ask Dr Edinburg to guide you.
