No. DermaFrac™ allows you to return to your normal activities immediately following the procedure. If you desire, you may reapply your mineral makeup immediately after the procedure. It is common to experience some pink or slightly red areas, which should fade quickly. The degree of redness you experience will be directly related to the amount of stimulation during the procedure.

Everyone has different experiences, however treatment with DermaFrac™ is rapid, discomfort is minimal, and the treatment is generally very well tolerated. The precise engineering of the handpiece prevents any bleeding or pain and instead provides a pleasant client experience with no downtime. The highly trained staff at The Eden Institute can adjust the treatment if you find that you are becoming too uncomfortable.

Some sensitive skin types may not tolerate all components of a DermaFrac™ treatment well. In this instance, a different, gentler treatment may be indicated for you, which you may be able to tolerate better. DermaFrac™ is NOT recommended if you:

  • have severe active acne
  • have broken or inflamed skin
  • have taken Roaccutane or similar acne medications in the past 12 months
  • take high doses of blood thinning medication
  • have Dermatitis or fungal infections
  • have active cold sores
  • have skin cancer or suspected skin cancer near the treatment area

  • have Epilepsy

Please discuss your treatment goals and any skin sensitivities during your initial consultation with our highly trained staff at the Eden Institute.

Different skin conditions and different skin types respond differently to treatment with DermaFrac™. Many patients will begin to notice a difference after only one treatment, although for the maximum results, as many as 4 to 6 treatments may be required approximately 4 weeks apart. Maintenance visits may follow every 8 to 10 weeks. Your highly trained Eden Institute clinician will discuss your likely treatment course and cost during your initial assessment. At Eden we have the specialist and medical skills and support to assess, recommend and modify your treatment plan. We may recommend DermaFrac™ treatments as standalone or in combination.

You may see results after the first treatment, however lasting and more significant results will become visible after 4 to 6 treatments. The condition of your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments, especially when combined with the recommended post treatment care.

Treatment with DermaFrac™ incorporates 4-in-1 treatments (this is one of the big advantages of DermaFrac), so any other treatments at the same time are not usually required. However regular Eden signature facials in-between DermaFrac treatments are recommended, these increase hydration and encourage cell renewal, this will help accelerate results.

As with all our treatments at Eden, each person’s treatments plan will vary according to your skin’s needs, and your lifestyle. We always personalise your treatment plan.

The prices of DermaFrac™ treatment will vary depending on the required treatment sessions based on your concern and our evaluation. Read more about the cost on the "How Much does It Cost" section.
