Laser Skin Rejuvenation

The Eden Institute MediSpa is equipped with some of the most advanced medical-grade laser equipment designed to combat fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, skin discolouration, pigmentation and the signs of ageing.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation

We have advanced Sciton lasers, which allow us to offer the following treatments: ProFractional ™, Phototherapy BBL™, ND: YAG, MicroLaserPeel®, and Skin Tyte ™.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatment (also known as Laser Skin Resurfacing) involves passing pulses of laser energy across the skin’s surface to create thousands of micro-channels deep in the skin. This triggers the production of new collagen, which plumps up the skin and smoothes out wrinkles and other irregularities.

At the Eden Institute MediSpa, part of our uniqueness is that we have a wide variety of options available for treatment. Your expert therapist may recommend a combination of treatments to obtain the best results. Options are discussed with you at your advanced skin analysis, and we always tailor your treatment plan to your individual situation.

A superficial problem or skin concern is often best treated by a combination of techniques. Laser Skin Rejuvenation may be the answer. A single laser or a combination of lasers may be best for you, or we may recommend a combination of a few different modalities, for example Laser Skin Rejuvenation plus Medical-Grade Skincare Products. We don’t expect you to know what treatment is best suited to you. We will use our skill and expertise to design you an individual treatment program that will help to deal with your concerns.

Are all Lasers and Laser Technicians the same?

We don’t believe so.

Every laser comes with a variety of settings. This means that with different lasers, the types of settings, the range of frequencies and modalities available can differ accordingly. At the Eden Institute, we pride ourselves on only purchasing high-quality products and laser machines, backed by reputable companies, with guaranteed reliability, experience, and scientific studies behind them.

The same principle applies with laser technicians. Questions to keep in mind when choosing a laser technician include: Does he/she have qualifications beyond basic laser? Does he/she have the skills, expertise and availability to use other treatments that could complement your laser treatment? Essentially, a professional and qualified laser technician would need to have advanced skills in combination with an artistic eye to ensure optimal aesthetic outcomes.

At The Eden Institute, we believe in offering a range of modalities to treat your skin and that everything we provide needs to be of a superior standard. As a result, not only do we have quality products, but our team is specialised and experienced on a professional and medical level.

ProFractional™ Laser Therapy

ProFractional Therapy at Eden Medispa, is a laser procedure with little downtime, used for improving the overall appearance of your skin. The procedure is performed in our Bella Vista clinic and can be customised to your specific skin conditions and desired outcome.

Unlike older lasers that strip away the skin, ProFractional Laser uses pinpoint, computer-guided precision to create micro-channels in the skin. This initiates the body’s healing response by stimulating new collagen and elastin production, while the surrounding skin remains intact for rapid healing. This way, ProFractional Laser offers a less invasive wrinkle reduction treatment, also targeting scars and discolouration, giving you fresher, smoother, more elastic skin, especially around the eyes and mouth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most skin areas can be treated. Popular treatment areas are the face and neck, though many people also treat the chest and hands. You should discuss your needs with your clinician.

Excellent results can be obtained in just one treatment, though the number of treatments may vary from patient to patient. Your clinician can personalise a plan based on your specific needs and may choose to combine ProFractional Laser Therapy with other aesthetic procedures to further personalise your treatment.

ProFractional Laser Therapy is widely regarded as a comfortable procedure, usually tolerated with the use of a topical numbing cream or a local anaesthetic, depending on the depth of the treatment.

Complete healing typically occurs within a few days and most patients usually feel comfortable enough to get back to work and apply makeup a day or two after the treatment. There will likely be some swelling that will subside within several days following the treatment.

As your skin heals in the days following your treatment, you may notice a general tightening effect. However, the true benefit of ProFractional is the collagen remodelling that occurs during the 4 to 6 months following your treatment.

To find out more about our ProFractional Laser Therapy treatments, contact the Eden Institute today.

ProFractional Laser Therapy can be combined with other facial enhancement and rejuvenation procedures including Face Lift, Eyelid Rejuvenation, Brow Lift Surgery, Wrinkle Relaxers, Wrinkle Reduction, Lip Enhancement Treatment, Microdermabrasion, and Medical-grade Facial Peels and as part of our Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Makeover Packages.

Phototherapy - BBL™

At The Eden Institute, we are able to offer a number of different types of laser treatments, as well as numerous complementing therapies. We can even use different types of laser treatments in the same treatment, if this is what your skin requires. It is a joy for us to be able to draw from so many options, which our specialist cosmetic Registered Nurses have the advanced skills and experience to use. Please allow us to help you work out the most appropriate treatment for your skin.

BBL™ pulsed light energy allows your clinician to precisely target age and sun spots, small facial veins and many other skin conditions. Your treatment will be tailored to match your skin type and your desired results.

By selecting the appropriate wavelength or filter, your clinician can treat a broad range of skin conditions caused by ageing and sun exposure. The light energy delivered by the BBL™ gently heats the upper layers of the targeted area of skin and stimulates the skin cells to generate new collagen. This helps restore the skin’s normal function, refining skin texture and tone. The light and heat energy also targets and eliminates fine blood vessels that cause redness, and the excess melanin responsible for pigmented lesions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pigmented lesions (e.g. freckles, age spots), vascular lesions (e.g. small blood vessels), acne, skin firmness, uneven skin texture and unwanted hair.

The number of treatments needed varies from patient to patient and your clinician will personalise a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. Your clinician may also combine your treatment with other popular aesthetic procedures to further personalise your treatment.

Because we only use medical-grade laser,we have the ability to tailor laser treatments to your skin type and problem. We can even combine different laser modalities in the same treatment. We are fortunate to work under the auspices of, Dr Mark Edinburg, our specialist Plastic Surgeon. Our structure, under his guidance, means we can deliver the highest specialist assessment and treatment.

You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. For some pigmented lesions, you will see a darkening of the treated areas followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. Your treated skin will feel smoother, fine lines and pores will be less noticeable, and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will face. Results depend on your condition, the number of treatments and the area treated. Your clinician will provide you with complete information about the post-treatment care and results.

This is a non-invasive and gentle procedure with virtually no downtime. In most cases, you are able to return to work, apply makeup and resume most of your activities immediately.

Phototherapy BBL can be combined with other skin enhancement and rejuvenation procedures including Wrinkle Relaxers, Wrinkle Reduction, Lip Enhancement Treatment, Medical-grade Facial Peels and Microdermabrasion.

At the Eden InstituteMediSpa, we offer MicroLaserPeel®,askin resurfacing treatment that gives great results.Downtime is minimal, however downtime is longer for deeper treatments. A MicroLaserPeel® removes a layer of damaged skin to improve texture and provide a more youthful appearance. It provides superior results because it can be administered with great precision of depth. The procedure is performed in our Bella Vista clinic and can be custom tailored to your specific skin conditions and desired outcome.

The MicroLaserPeel® beam is scanned over a treatment area to remove layers of the skin. Removing thelayers eliminates some of the damaged cells that can give skin a tired, aged look. As the skin heals, fresh cells grow and resurface the treated area. The result is healthier-looking skin; often with reduced wrinkles and improved colour evenness. Patients often say that it looks like their skin went from looking tired to vibrant.

The depth of treatment will determine the discomfort. We will always help you with pain management. At its most shallow settings, most people can tolerate treatment with no aesthetic at all. At deeper settings, a topical numbing cream is typically used. WE also use a sophisticated cooling device to assist. Most patients tolerate this type of treatment well.

As with all our laser treatments, we may suggest a combination of treatments, often done in the same treatment.

Depending on the depth of treatment, most patients feel comfortable enough to return to work within 3 to 4 days.

As only the outer layer of skin is treated, most patients notice an obvious improvement in tone, texture and colour evenness once the skin heals in approximately 3-4 days.

How To Maximise Your Treatment Outcomes

Facial procedures can help to significantly improve your appearance, however this is just the first step. Post-treatment care is equally important to ensure that your outcomes are enhanced and maintained.

In particular, if you are pursuing facial rejuvenation procedures such as Laser Skin Rejuvenation, Medical-Grade Microdermabrasion, Medical-Grade Facial Peels, or if you opt for a surgical solution such as a facelift, we recommend that you use quality Medical-Grade Skincare Products post-treatment to retain and prolong your treatment results.

Why medical-grade? Medical-Grade Skincare Products are often formulated by clinicians and physicians and are based on results and trials. They contain a higher concentration of active ingredients than products available in a supermarket and are created to target specific skin concerns and conditions. In some cases they can enhance and prolong the results of cosmetic surgery and work to transform the skin and offer ongoing results rather than a quick fix.

It is natural for your skin to be slightly sensitive after a facial treatment, which is why good quality skincare is essential to ensure the fastest recovery and best results. We also recommend our patients switch to Medical-Grade Mineral Makeup after treatments as pure mineral makeup is crafted from high quality natural ingredients that can be beneficial for your skin. We may also recommend you start skincare treatment before your procedure in order to get the best possible value and results from it.

The Eden Institute MediSpa is a specialist non-surgical rejuvenation clinic and our commitment to caring for our patients doesn’t stop after you have had your treatment. We always make tailored recommendations for all our patients to help them with their recovery and to maximise their aesthetic goals.
